Throwback Thursday - Week 2

Throwback Thursday - Week 2

This week for our Throwback Thursday we’re taking the Fresh route and checking out 3 of our past candles that all fall under the Fresh/Earthy category.

I do have to admit, around here I generally have the creative brain behind the Sweet/Fruity candles and Sandi takes over for the Fresh/Earthy, but every now and then we like to mix it up and take over the other scent category for the month.

I started working here at Club Candle in August of 2020, so all three of these beauties are a little older than I am, but I've done some digging through our files and some past research to give you some behind the scenes action that you all love so much. Unfortunately, our photography game wasn’t the strongest back in the day so not much photographic evidence exists of these candles besides their ‘beauty shots’ as we like to call them, but there is plenty of written info I can bring you

Our first contender for Throwback Thursday is Autumn Leaves, featuring in our March 2020 box.

Autumn Leaves Candle

Described as having the Earthy undertones of crunchy autumn leaves, combined with amber to calm the mind, and warming cedar wood to create a serene atmosphere.

This vibrant coloured jar was the perfect complement to the warm, spiced scent that Autumn Leaves is. Along with the warming notes of the scent, the colour of the jar also adds a warm pop of colour to any space in the house.

With top notes of Bergamot, Amber and Orange.

Middle notes of Cinnamon Leaf and Nutmeg.

Base notes of Cedarwood and Sandalwood

This fragrance has also been Infused with Cinnamon, Orange and Cedarwood Essential Oils to enhance the aromatherapy.

Turning back the clock, our next stop is May of 2018.

Going back to a candle that was well before my time, we have Aduri.

 Aduri Candle

Cool, delicate and invigorating, our Aduri candle fuses notes of fresh air, apple and orange peel with sparkling tropical undertones and a hint of grounding Balsam and Clove. This candle’s fragrance is infused with the natural essential oils of bergamot.

Taking it back one step further, let's go back to July of 2017 and visit Sea Breeze.

Sea Breeze Candle

This super fresh smell will transport you to a beautiful sunny day at the beach. The salty ocean breeze is combined with a hint of vanilla, amber and plum and mixed with soy wax and hand poured into a glass vessel that is swirled with whites, blues and grey of the crashing waves.

Not only is the scent super fresh and revitalising, the jar looks so funky as well. It’s not often we get a jar as ‘out there’ as this one, but when we do, we like to think we pull it off well.

Stay tuned for next week's Throwback Thursday, where we will feature 3 of our Sweet/Fruity candles! Any Sweet/Fruity candles you’d like to see? Head to our socials and let us know!
