Ever feel like, after a holiday, you need another one just to get over it? This felt especially true after the busy Christmas/New Year period that we’re still recovering from, so we set out to create a candle that will help us all recapture those relaxing holiday vibes. This blend won’t whisk you away to a faraway destination, but it can transport you to your very own day spa, which is basically the next best thing, right?!

Our fresh Club Candle for February is Aloe & Agave, named after two popular plants known for their refreshing qualities. The candle is infused with the fragrances of cucumber, aloe vera, melon, agave, and oakmoss. We feel more relaxed just having read those words; bring on the chill vibes! We started with cucumber as it is both crisp and cool, and it brings to mind freshly sliced cucumbers on a hot summer’s day. Or, if you’re anything like me, it invokes memories of do-it-yourself facemasks when we’d place cucumbers on our eyes to soothe them (did we mention we’re bringing the day spa home this month?!)

We then added some aloe vera to the fragrance as it is both soothing and refreshing, known for its skin-healing and anti-inflammatory properties, and it is perfect for alleviating stress. The melon brings a slightly sweet and juicy aroma that is reminiscent of ripe summer fruit and is unforgettably fresh when combined with cucumber. Agave brings a touch of sweetness to the candle, but it is also an earthy scent that is both calming and grounding, perfect for setting the mood in your own day spa. And we finished the candle with oakmoss, which adds a woody and earthy element to this blend. Together these fragrances combine beautifully to create a scent as light as a summer breeze.

We might not have physically transported you to your dream holiday destination, but we think this scent will help you create your very own day spa at home! After a long day (or week) at work, what better way to relax than by lighting this candle and letting the scent fill your entire room.
